No changes in Tampere University Library services - exceptional situation continues
Based on these guidelines, the restrictions that apply to universities and universities of applied sciences will be lifted starting from 14 May, but higher education institutions are recommend to continue providing online instruction until the end of the spring semester. Our guidelines are in line with the nationwide guidelines approved by Universities Finland (Unifi) and the Rectors’ Conference of Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences (Arene). As announced earlier, the campuses will remain closed to students for the duration of the spring semester, and teaching will continue to be primarily delivered online in accordance with the government’s recommendation. When the premises are closed, the university libraries also remain closed.
In order to ensure a smooth course of studies, access to printed course literature and printed material critical to the completion of the thesis is guaranteed to all students in the University community regardless of the closure of the premises so that the customer can order the course book they require using this form. The book can only be picked up in the Hervanta Campus arena (Kampusareena) 1st floor short loan room, from where the customer must pick up and loan the material as selfservice.
In spite of the closure of the library premises, all of the library's online services will continue to function normally.
