When all the library units are closed, it is possible to submit a request for activating the student card / card for library use on the helpdesk.tuni.fi service portal. The service is now also available for staff. A library card is required in order to be able to use the pick-up service points during the pandemic.
  • If you have a student card then in the https://helpdesk.tuni.fi/ service portal, you can ask for the activation of your library card by logging in to the service with your tuni-ID. You can find the activate student card as a library card button under the library services section. Due to service congestion, activation may take up to 5 business days.
  • The library card activation request now also works for staff. Staff can order a library card for themselves at https://helpdesk.tuni.fi/. You can find the order a library card button in the Library Services section. The library card is delivered to the subscriber's internal postal address.

The library system generates a PIN code for the library card, which is automatically sent to the subscriber's e-mail when the card is activated.

Due to service congestion, activation may take up to 5 business days.

Follow the information on the library's website and intranet, and you will always find the latest information about the situation of the library's services during a pandemic.

Despite the closure of the library's premises, all the library's online services will continue as normal.
