The Library will extend payment of open access publishing costs in 2023. The Library will also pay open access publishing costs for those working at Tampere University of Applied Sciences.

The Library will extend open access support funding to cover author fees for peer-reviewed publications by all persons affiliated with Tampere Universities in 2023. Corresponding authors of peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters and monographs who are affiliated with Tampere University or Tampere University of Applied Sciences are eligible to apply for open access support funding when the publication is reported as a Tampere University or Tampere University of Applied Science publication in the Ministry of Education and Culture’s publication data collection. Researchers working in Tampere University Hospital who also have a resource agreement or employment contract with Tampere University are also eligible.

Conference publications are not eligible for OA support funding, with the exception of conference publications published in projects funded by Horizon Europe. The Library does not pay other publication costs, such as costs for images, pages, editing or manuscript submission.

The Library will monitor the functioning of the conditions of the OA support funding and, if necessary, changes may be made during the coming year.

The Library pays the open access costs if the conditions are met
