Embase-database trial 2.–22.11. Database presentation 2.11.2021
Embase is the most extensive biomedical database, containing 37.2 million references, including the entire content of MedLine. 8100 journals are indexed in Embase from over 90 countries; 2900 of journals are not found in MedLine. Embase also includes a comprehensive collection of conference publications since 2009. Embase is particularly strong in clinical medicine and pharmaceutical research, pharmacology and toxicology coverage. Embase is produced by science publisher Elsevier.
Embase has its own controlled vocabulary called Emtree. All the versatile search features of Ovid's interface are also available in Embase. Videos compiled by the University of Toronto will guide you in the search.
The Embase will be in test use from 1st to 21st November at Tampere University, TAMK and Tays. To access the database from this link: https://libguides.tuni.fi/embase In remote access, log in with your TUNI ID or Tays Remote Access ID. On the Ovid login page menu, select Embase.
