Dr Iñigo Flores Ituarte appointed as Industry Professor in Digital Manufacturing

Dr Iñigo Flores Ituarte has taken up an appointment as Industry Professor in the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Tampere University. The professorship is part of the Epanet network of the Ostrobothnia Region and is associated with the University Consortium of Seinäjoki. The field of the industry professorship is Digital Manufacturing. The professorship is funded by Atria-Suomi Oy, Epec Oy, Finn-Power Oy, Ideal Product Data Group Oy, MSK Group Oy, Mäkelä Alu Oy, Pesmel Oy, Siemens Osakeyhtiö, the City of Alajärvi, the City of Kauhava, the City of Seinäjoki, The Suupohja Federation of Municipalities for Industry and Commerce, The University Foundation of South Ostrobothnia, Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences Ltd and Tampere University. 

Dr Flores Ituarte comes from Spain. After receiving his PhD in Engineering from Aalto University in 2017, Flores has worked as a postdoctoral fellow and assistant professor at Aalborg University in Denmark. In addition, he has international experience of working in Singapore and experience of working in industry in Finland and Spain.
