Tampere Universities were informed by the public health authorities on Wednesday 20 January 2021 that a number of coronavirus cases had been identified among our exchange students. The outbreak is now under control and the situation is very calm, according to information provided by the public health authorities. The self-isolation and quarantine restrictions issued by the public health authorities have been lifted. Thank you to all the students for acting responsibly in the challenging situation!

For the past few weeks, we at Tampere University and Tampere University of Applied Sciences have been working closely together with the public authorities and other stakeholders and offered our exchange students enhanced support through multiple channels. Support remains available for exchange students as we return to the new normal and the delivery of remote teaching.

Tampere Universities strongly recommend wearing a face mask on campus. It is important that all campus users adhere to this recommendation. It is also important to keep a safe distance of two metres from others and practice good hand hygiene. Coming to the campuses is only allowed if is necessary. Do not come to campus if you are feeling unwell.
