From 1 January 2021, the City of Tampere will provide health care services for exchange students coming to Tampere University of Applied Sciences and Tampere University.

The city has already organised health care services for exchange students of TAMK but the Finnish Student Health Service (FSHS) has earlier organised health care services for exchange students at the university.

Next year the City of Tampere will provide health care services for exchange students coming from EU or EEA countries and Switzerland, exchange students living in Australia and having a health insurance there and exchange students from Quebec province in Canada. The City of Tampere and the universities will inform of service and contact practices before the turn of the year.

Exchange students coming from outside the above-mentioned areas are referred to private health care services.
