Applicant numbers on the rise for TAMK’s degree programmes in English

Tampere University of Applied Sciences continues to gain awareness and recognition around the world among potential students for professional higher education in Finland.

TAMK has a total of nine English degree programmes starting in autumn 2019. Application round for these programmes ended on 23 January 2019 and a record number of applications was received, 2356 in total. The corresponding number last year was 2081 and in 2017 only slightly under 1400.

The most popular Bachelor’s degree is still International Business (757 applications) but a challenger is rising from Software Engineering (461 applications). The most popular Master’s degrees continue to be International Business Management (120 applications) and Educational Leadership (101 applications).

In addition to Finnish applicants (748 applications), a total of 100 nationalities are represented. Applications from outside the EU/EEA countries totaled 1282 or 54,5 %. All TAMK’s English degree programmes take in both domestic and international students.

“Our efforts in developing the international degree programmes as well as marketing seem to pay off,” says Vice President Päivi Karttunen with content.

The application period to TAMK degrees in Finnish language is 20 March – 3 April 2019.
