Training

The Library offers a wide range of training to support study and research. We are also responsible for curriculum-based information searching studies. Library's online guides support you in your studies and research. As a member of our higher education community you can also book a time for personal guidance.

Information searching studies

The Library is responsible for all curriculum-based information searching studies at Tampere Universities. Information searching studies are integrated into the curriculum.

All teaching in spring 2019 is held according to the current curricula. The new curricula become valid 1 August 2019.

We offer training on the Library’s search portals, electronic resources, and reference management tools.

Students at TAMK can enroll in weekly information searching workshops. These workshops are designed to guide your information searching and help you to locate reliable and relevant information. See the future workshop dates above.

Guides and self-study

You can find all the Library’s electronic resources and subject guides in SciencePort.

Information searching guide supports independent study. The guide contains tips and instructions on how to form search terms, how to choose information sources, and how to evaluate search results.

Personal guidance and help

If you have any questions regarding information searching, or how to use our electronic resources, we are here to help you. You can contact our customer service with any questions you might have.

For a more personal assistance you can book a librarian. This service is aimed at members of the higher education community at Tampere Universities.
