About me

Guilherme is currently investigating the effect of adiabatic heating on the mechanical behavior of several metallic alloys, as well as the relationship between the Taylor–Quinney coefficient and the microstructural evolution during deformation. Furthermore, he is also working on the development of novel thermomechanical characterization methods by combining and synchronizing both Digital Image Correlation and Infrared Thermography techniques to investigate material behavior at a wide range of strain rates and temperatures. Guilherme has works on the mechanical, microstructural and crystallographic analysis of several metallic alloys, and his skills include experimental material characterization techniques such as split hopkinson pressure bar testing, imaging analysis and X ray diffractometry. His hobbies are dancing, playing the piano and singing in the Teekkarikuoro.
