About me
Anchored in International Relations, my research combines critical security studies, political ecology and political theory with the biological sciences to develop new ways of understanding forms of violence. I received my Phd in International Relations from The University of Hawai'i at Mānoa in 2017. Since then, I have worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oulu and at Tampere University. In 2021, I was awarded the title of Docent in International Relations, specifically political ecology. In 2022, I began a 5-year Academy fellowship, to carry out the project "The Politics of Predation: An ecological framework for strategic violence (ECOPRED)."
