The latest International Student Barometer (ISB) conducted in autumn 2017 demonstrates that the international students at Tampere University report very high levels of satisfaction with their university in the category of facilities (virtual learning, the physical library and technology), safety, student support services, teaching and course organisation and language support. The students' willingness to recommend Tampere University to others is among the top.
Overall, 120 higher education institutions participated in the survey worldwide, including 15 Finnish higher education institutions. Erasmus Charter for Higher Education
Tampere University has applied for an Erasmus Charter for Higher Education replacing the charters awarded to the predecessors (University of Tampere and Tampere University of Technology). The charter allows the university to take part in the European Commission's Erasmus+ Programme for 2014 - 2020. The university is committed to following the basic principles and terms of the Programme as well as the Erasmus Policy Statement (EPS) represented in the ECHE application.
Tampere University takes part in several mobility programmes, including Erasmus +,Fulbright, BCI, ISEP, Global Engineering, north2north, Nordplus, FIRST+, the Asia Programme and HEI ICI. Tampere University offers a wide repertoire of studies where the language of teaching and learning is English. We offer English-language bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctoral degrees. Transnational education services
The University bears its global responsibility by providing opportunities for sharing best practices and offering transnational education services. We train and give consultation to international groups both in Tampere and abroad, on site and online.
Transnational education services is offered both as commissioned education and as in-service training. Transnational education services open up never-ending portunities to grow and develop in the fast paced economy of today.
Finland University Oy is the international education brand, and marketing and sales company of four leading Finnish research universities: University of Eastern Finland, Tampere University, University of Turku and Åbo Akademi University. Finland University provides worldwide commissioned degree programmes and professional development programmes of its member universities mainly to institutions (universities, government ministries and agencies, foundations, companies).

Tampere University supports Finland’s membership in several international research infrastructure consortia (ERIC – European Research Infrastructure Consortium).
CESSDA ERIC, the Consortium of European Social Science Data Archives, provides the international scientific community with free-of-charge data services and data-related training. Finland is a member of CESSDA, and the Finnish Social Science Data Archive works as Finland’s national CESSDA service provider.
CLARIN ERIC offers digital language data especially for use in the humanities and social sciences. The FIN-CLARIN consortium manages CLARIN services in Finland, and Tampere University is a member of the consortium. The services of FIN-CLARIN are available from the Language Bank of Finland.
