Benefit from tax deductions

Donors are eligible to claim a tax deduction for cash donations ranging from €850 to €500,000 that are made to a publicly funded university or higher education institution within a single year. The donation may consist of several parts, eg €400 in the spring and €450 in the autumn. The deduction will reduce the amount of income tax owed.

Communities and organisations are eligible to claim a tax deduction for cash donations ranging from €850 to €250,000 that are made to a publicly funded university or higher education institution. For further information, visit the Tax Administration’s website.

Individuals and the estates of deceased persons are eligible to claim a tax deduction for a donation made for the purpose of furthering the arts and sciences.
