Regea Tissue Center is part of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Technology at Tampere University.
 

Clinical tissue bank

Regea procures and distributes tissue transplants (musculoskeletal, amniotic membrane and corneal tissues) for clinical use. Regea also imports tissue transplants to Finland. Yearly more than 800 transplants are distributed to hospitals. One of the most important goals of Regea is to increase tissue donations and ensure the availability of tissues for transplantation in Finland. Tissue banking activities are conducted on a not-for-profit basis. Regea has a tissue establishment license issued by Finnish Medicines Agency.

Infrastructure and services

Regea has a clean room laboratory (EU GMP classes A-D) with adjacent QC laboratories. The laboratories are designed specifically for the manufacture of cell and tissue based products.
