I had to enjoy the sun while it was out. Finland will teach you to appreciate and savor the changing seasons. Oluwabunmi Adeojo is my name; feel free to call me Bunmi (the n is silent). I love to advertise items, watch movies, cook, listen to music, and watch movies. I am in my first year in Tampere's peace program.

I am Oluwabunmi Adeojo from Nigeria, currently studying Peace, Mediation and Conflict Research as a first year masters student at Tampere University, Tampere, Finland.

Why did you choose your current programme?

My choice of this course is informed by my passion for conflict resolution and the crucial role research plays in meeting this global need.

Can you share with us your experiences in Finland and Tampere?

I came into Finland in September, and the people here welcomed me with open arms and a willingness to go above and beyond to help. My new home is Tampere, where I have discovered warmth, friendliness, and, oh yes, virtually always a hot cup of coffee or tea everywhere I go.

What kind of student activities have you participated in?

Peace round table, Peace coffee, a visit to the museum, counselling services, and research experiments.

What would you say to someone planning to study and live in Tampere?

If you're from a place like mine, where the coldest weather is never below zero, pack plenty of warm clothing, bring your favorite spices if you have a really hot tongue, and be prepared to meet new people and get to know their culture. I can tell you that you'll have a fantastic time!

What is your favourite place in the city to go for fun with friends?

I love to go bowling, go-karting, visiting the museum etc.
