"Find your source of inspiration in Tampere" - student ambassador story
Tell us about yourself and your studies
I was born and raised in Ho Chi Minh City - one of the biggest and most energetic cities in Vietnam. After four years of studying at Centria University of Applied Sciences in Kokkola, I was excited to come to Tampere to study in the master's programme. While doing my internship in Spain, my team leader was studying for a Master's at Tampere University and inspired me a lot. At that time, the picture of my future path was more straightforward, and I realized that I would strive to get advanced in UX/UI Design. Now I am proudly a part of the Human-Technology Interaction study track at Tampere University with a full tuition fee scholarship.
Can you share with us your experiences in Tampere and Finland?
Tampere never sleeps. Everything is available around you, and the living cost of a student cannot limit your potential. It means that as a student, you can get discounts from most of the places, from public transport to museums, discounts from some stores. At the university, I get to team up with many talented and humble classmates, we can share our opinions on various perspectives and be respected as individuals. Before officially studying at Tampere University, I read some books and joined online courses about UX and it made my expectations of the school courses even higher. Now, I am totally satisfied with my choice, with the quality of each lecture and literature offered at Tampere University.
