Mandatory attendance in the sessions and lectures; a personal study plan made with PSP tool; final report.
Completion parts must belong to the same implementation

Learning Outcomes

After completing the course student is able to - describe the structure and aims of the degree - prepare a personal study plan using TUT's PSP programme - use the university library as research source - recognize the Finnish academic study methods.

Implementation Description Methods of instruction Implementation
TST-41006 2014-01 Introduction to Graduate Studies covers information on the structure of the study programme and the study modules. Students learn how to use the PSP tool and make a personal study plan. The course also covers advice on learning techniques, motivation, and time and project management. Information on IT-systems, library tour and Information retrieval are part of the course. Course requirements: - mandatory attendance in the sessions and lectures - approved PSP (personal study plan) - final report       Contact teaching: 65 %
