Description:
Introduction to basics of photonics. Introduction to theories and fabrication of optoelectronic and photonic components. Theory is presented as background information for periodic structures. Their various applications include distributed feedback lasers, microcavities, fiber Bragg gratings and photonic crystals. Fabrication technology includes introduction to nanolithography.
