Learning Outcomes

After the course the student has a grasp of some of the most influential or innovative urban planning ideas throughout history, as expressed in certain chosen classic readings. The student has been able to analyze the ideas expressed in one or some of the books in an essay/research paper, from a contemporary viewpoint.

1. General knowledge of chosen influential urban planning ideas through history.  Understanding the influence of chosen planning ideas during their time and today.   Knowledge of the specific theory and idea formulation behind the chosen planning text/texts. 

Instructions for students on how to achieve the learning outcomes

Participation in lectures/introductions, weekly readings, sessions of discussions. Evaluation based on a written essay/research paper and participation in the discussions.

Assessment scale:

Numerical evaluation scale (1-5) will be used on the course

Partial passing:

Completion parts must belong to the same implementation
