Learning outcomes

Student having taken the course are expected to have a solid understanding of modern Wind Energy Conversion (WEC) Systems; the way WEC systems make optimum use of the wind resource available, the role that power electronic converters play in modern WEC systems, and on the impact of wind farms in the electrical power grid

Exam (50%) Continuous assessment comprising three elements: (i) To write an essay in a wind energy-related topic (ii) Preparation and delivery of the wind energy-related topic (iii) Case study involving the assessment of a wind farm connected to a utility-level power system

Numerical evaluation scale (1-5) will be used on the course
