Requirements

Requirements include successfully completed management of Multinational Company, creation of business plans and company presentation in groups plus two individual rules quizzes.

Learning outcomes

After the course students are familiar with strategic management issues of a multinational company. The course uses a computerized business simulation program.

Content

1. Concept of business mission and strategic planning in a MNC Analysis and follow-up of environment also in less developed countries. Decision making in uncertainty.   Create a strategic plans. Improve and enlarge the business in small or large steps.   
2. Integrate managerial functions to give a holistic view of the business. Understand stakeholders and value chain. Learn to create and orchestrate networks. Vertical integration and coordination within a MNC   Analyze the reasons for differences between goals and results. Make conclusions based on analysis. Apply business concepts in "real" business situation.  Interpret the financial statement (balance sheet, income statement and cash budget).  
3. Use of negotiation skills, group work abilities and leadership Create and use of managerial tools.   Organize and delegate the tasks of the company.  Lead own company and the whole network of companies in multicultural environment. 

Evaluation criteria for the course

The course is grade based on both group work (company performance, business plans and company presentations) and individual quizzes of the Intopia world.

Numerical evaluation scale (1-5) will be used on the course
