Learning outcomes

This course is designed to give the student an introduction to the systems engineering process and introduce to the student to critical issues in the field of systems engineering applied to the factory automation domain.

Content

1. Basic principles of systems engineering, System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Adaptive SDLC, Unified Modeling Language (UML).     
2. History; Methodologies; Tools and Techniques; and the modeling of systems for SE     
3. Applications and Practice of SE to the Factory Automation domain  The knowledge of OO programming languages (e.g. C++, Java)   


Evaluation criteria for the course

Final exam (80%) AND the exercises (20%) of the final grade.

Assessment scale:

Numerical evaluation scale (1-5) will be used on the course

Partial passing:

Completion parts must belong to the same implementation
