Objectives
The Project aims at advancing the interaction between students participating the Finnish speaking Biotechnology education programme and International Master¿s degree programme in Science and Bioengineering. The students will form groups of 2 to 4 persons from different major subjects (Signal processing, Biomeasurement and information technologies, Biomaterials and Environmental biotechnology B as well as Biotechnology, Nanotechnology and Biomeasurements majors) to make pilot projects of various sort in broad areas related to Biotechnology and Bioengineering. The work can be either literature survey, hired contract work from the industry, laboratory practicals or interview and even a combination of all these. Students will write a report of the outcomes of the project and express their findings in a seminar. They will gain broad knowledge in biotechnology and focus on the understanding of the structure and contents of scientific publications, in writing a literature review and oral presentation skills in English.
