Objectives
The seminar aims at advancing the knowledge in biotechnology and focuses on the understanding of the structure and content of scientific publications, in writing a literature review and oral presentation skills in English.

1. The student familiarizes with special issues related to environmental biotechnology, tissue engineering, computational systems biology or biomeasurements.       

Requirements for completing the course
Participation in seminars (at least 80 %), accepted written and oral presentation and acting as an opponent for another student.

  • Participation in seminars, accepted written and oral presentation and acting as an opponent.

  • Used assessment scale is numeric (1-5)

  • Prerequisites
    Prequisite relations (Sign up to TUT Intranet required)

    Additional information about prerequisites
    Sufficient studies in major subject. The number of the students may be limited.

    Remarks

    Students independent literature search and writing the literature review according to the seminar instructions (see the institutes web page). The written review needs to be approved by the instructor prior to oral presentation in given schedule.

  • Partial passing of course must be in connection with the same round of implementation.
