Objectives
To introduce to various sub-fields, research objectives and applications of biomedical engineering.

1. Sub-fields of biomedical engineering.       
2. Theoretical and analytical methods to describe functioning of the human body systems.       
3. Interaction mechanisms of external energies used in diagnostic and therapeutic methods with the human body.       
4. Examples of diagnostic and therapeutic medical devices.        
5. Patient safety issues.       

Requirements for completing the course
Final examination (70%), exercises (10%) and exercise work (20%).
