Objectives
You will understand the main terminology and definitions in the field of medical biomaterials science. You will know the structures and properties of medical biomaterials as well as their main clinical applications. You will also get to know the bases of tissue engineering and controlled drug release. You can list sterilization methods and their special characteristics and you will know the requirements for packing the medical device.

    Remarks

    Course is available as a distance learning course and no lectures or exercises are needed. If you wish to do the course, you need to contact lecturer (Elina Talvitie) by email. You can start the course twice in academic year, either in the beginning of 1st or 4th period. During the course you should meet supervisor 3-4 times. You need to finalize the course in two periods (either during 1-2 or 4-5)
