Course objectives
Advanced course about Quality of Service (QoS) concepts and mechanisms in packet switched networks. Overview of current research problems in this area.
Content of the course
Best-effort service and service differentiation. Congestion control mechanisms: flow control, scheduling mechanisms, active queue management. DiffServ and IntServ theory and practise.
Requirements
Final examination and project work.
