Course objectives
Explaining processing of data related to human sensory input-output.
Content of the course
Human perceptual input-output system and its properties, multimodal integration. Theories of higher-level cognitive processing. Intelligent and conscious systems, problems and debate. Visual and acoustical pattern processing and recognition methods. Media interfaces, visual and acoustical input. MPEG-7 standard. Advanced image, video and audio compression. MPEG-4 full multimedia standard. Multimedia content security and watermarking methods.
