Description

In this course student will learn basic skills to use modern 3D-design, simulation and off-line programming tools for robot cell design. The practice work will be an industrial case and it will change every year. The practice work will consist of problem solving, simulation and presentation of the findings.

1) Modelling/Import CAD models: Modelling the lab environment(walls, fences, table gripper); Place safety features in lab model
2) Modelling/Motor modelling: Model Agco Power Motor by reverse engineering(not a complex model)
3) Simulation: Simulate the robot task for Motor Assembly, Simulate the second robot task to bring and hold the motor for the first robot assembly task
4) Simulation / human: Simulate human task in the environment
5) Finger modeling for the assembly process and 3D printing
6) Collision Detection: Using VisualComponents 4.0 for collision detection
7) Calibration of robot with motor
8) Compilation + test and run
9) Final demonstration

Exercises will be done with Visual Components 4.0 and tested with UR5 and ABB robots.
